Movie Review #23 Pandorum

Its a long long time since I watch such a lousy show. I could say its a waste of my time.

Lousy storyline, lousy cast, lousy script. Whatever it is.

The suspense is there and at first there were some serious fear factor. And that was before the story starts to unfold. As thing past by, you know watching the show itself is the beginning of the nightmare.

Am I too biased? but heck it I love this movie

I went to watch it 2nd time.

First movie ever to make me want watch it for the 2nd time.

Watching it for the 2nd time, I came to appreciate the way they shoot the movie.
The angles, the expression and the backdrop, even simple shots in the room with the use of lightings it seems to have a very rustic feel.

The sound tracks is really worth a listen, the scene and together with the use of the sound track really awesome. Jazz, oldies, country songs, guitar and piano.

Movie Review #22 500 Days Of Summer

I just love this show.

I duno why but I am very attracted to the lead actress, I think she has a very unique feel, and she look very sweet.

The way the movie was portrayed is also very different. They showed the development of the couple, day by day. Sometime the movie skip to the "future" and den come back to the "present" to show the contrast, Example:

Day 200, romantic outing, simple things but yet special

Day 400, dinner and home, nothing special, just another day

The story is quite true for most relationship.

They also talk about values of love, commitment, etc

For most ladies I think you will like it.

For guys, if you are the kind that are either Macho, or Nerd, and hate romance, skip it.

For people who been tru relationship and suffer heart break, this movie might just bring back some painful or beautiful memories

Movie Review #21 Funny People

Funny people is not exactly a comedy. It is actually a lifestory of a comedian. Being a lifestory of a comedian there is bound to have some funny moments and conversations, but personally I would deem it as a lifestory rather than a comedy.

Run time is 2 hr and 30 min. Does a comedy runs for 2 and half hour?

Nonetheless a heartwarming and heartfelt movie which involve romance as well.

Movie Review #20 Surrogates

Quite an interesting movie. Attracted my attention with its unique plot. A vision of what may come in the future.

I interpreted the trailer wrongly. I thought tat the users of surrogate were in a virtual world but...

Remarks : Bang!, Action, Sinister plot. End. straight forward movie but not boring.
